The 700P is my 4th smartphone. I used and loved them all (still have all of them too - museum pieces ). Even with it's flaws, the 700P is the best one so far. It'll even be better when BT is stable.

    heehee@museum pieces

Yeah, whenever I upgrade I'm just keeping the old phone. You know, so I can show my grandkids one day. lol

My 700P is very close to perfect. Today I installed Pdanet and Pdareach man are they great, just makes the phone that much better. I should not have waited so long those programs are great. I was a little hesitant to install them but the are fun stuff. I have been tethered to my laptop all afternoon.

I got all kinds of software on this p. I'm talkin all kinds. I blew a circuit and learned about "the infinite loop" so naturally, had to do a hard reset. I ran the day old backup set from Backup man on my card, hotsynced IBM java, copied pPhoneInterfaceLibrary to RAM, and in minutes I was back up and running. some say its a pain.. I say its pretty cool to do all that on a mini computer like this... just wish it had more LEDs... :-]

I love my 700p! I show people Night At The Museum on it, (thank you pocket DVD and TCPMP!) and every time I get a "wow" (porn DVDs look great on the 700p too, FYI).

I would also have to agree, I love my 700P. My first Palm devices were Kyocer 6035 and then the 7135 (with sucky 14.4 speeds). I'm in and EVDO area and just love the the DSL type speeds. I haven't experienced the lockups or slow downs as most but have a bunch of 3rd party apps installed. Bluetooth satying connected has been my only issue. This has been a quantem leap from the 7135 I was using prior to the switch to the 700P. I just love it. I stream audio and video all the time in either Kinoma or PTunes. Use Chatteremail for push email. No problems that I can see from my use. Won't upgrade to the 755P as its not a substantial upgrade. I've been extremely happy since buying the 700P in August of 2006.

On a final note, I'm almost afraid to apply the MR. What if it takes my stable 700P and makes it unstable. The only improvements at the moment I would like is better bluetooth and PTUNES not skipping.

I'm pondering that too. I have only had my 700p for 12 days and the only issue I am having is a lag.
For example, I push the phone button and it comes up, but the word Sprint takes a few extra seconds.
It is one of many lags.
But BT works well with my old Treo headset.
No freeze ups (knock on wood). I have a few 3rd party apps but all work fine.
Would the 700p owners with major issues say their problems came, say a month after getting it or sooner?
I probably will update when the MR comes out.

I have no lag now, when switching. I added rescoe locker, and lock certain files. now no lag at all.

Which files helped? I only get a 1-2 second lag, so it may make no difference, but I couldn't get Resco to make a difference.

The AMState files, background service, HsNav, and the launcher I use, Treo Launcher.

But it makes no difference with switching out of Blazer. I still seems very slow. The AMState files are Versamail, and calendar. So if you are not using VM, it may not make much difference.

Well, I installed the update (with no problems) - my 700p is even zippier going into & out of Blazer. I love my Treo EVEN MORE!

Excellent! Did you do it by SD Card or hotsync?
