I've read about turning off applications, such as Power Vision, in order to prevent their wasting battery power. I just can't figure out how to do that.

As I understand it, after you've used them and have switched back to the Phone screen, Power Vision and other apps stay on in the background.

Is this true and if so, what's the best way to deal with this?

    Thanks for your thoughts,

PV only comes on when you use it and shuts off automatically after a while, make sure under network preferences you have it not to connect to PV automatically when the phone logs onto the network.

Best bet is to turn down the backlight.

Thanks for the explanation about Power Vision, Andrew

Is there a way to control the backlight so that when I'm playing a game it will stay on, but otherwise it will turn down?
