I really want to know if the Altec Lansing inMotion works with the Treo 755p. Could anybody give it a try and let us know? It works with my Treo 700p so chances are it works, but according to the Palm website it is not under the compatibility list.

Does it charge the Treo when using AC?

Ohh, I read its compatible with the 680 and so that means it should work with the 755P since it basically is, as one review stated, the 700P in the 680 body.

I have this speaker and while it has a great sound, it also charges my Treo and can be use to make phone calls and hotsync with your computer. I love it.
However, I think the body of the 755p is almost the same as the 750 and kind of similar to the 680 and I don't see the 750 as been compatible. Wierd.....
I can't wait to get my burgundy Treo 755p

Wow, it does all that ( I should have read more about it) I guess I found my new charge stand (at least when it comes out in Burgundy, I always try to match the color of my Treo)

    That thing looks hot!

What a way to wake up eh?

Now if Butler or PTunes would just add an alarm feature that plays random MP3's!?!?!?

Course it would be even better with the optional subwoofer.

    Check out Altecs webpage:

I've had my eye on this for a while, but never got around to purchasing it for my 700P. I curious to know if it works with my 755P as well.

Got my burgundy Treo 755p today and it works awesome with Pocket Tunes.
Now, I'm thinking about getting the subwoofer for it.

I've had one for quite awhile that I used with my 650. It worked great. I keep it by my bed and use it to charge my Treo at night. I can report that it definitely charges my 755P with no problem. It also plays music from my 755P just fine, I don't use it for this too often because my clock radio system sounds a lot better. I tested the speakerphone function last night and found that I can hear the other side but they can't hear me. I'm pretty sure that this is a problem specific to the 755P interfacing with the inMotion. In short, this unit works with the 755P as a charging cradle, probably fine as a syncing cradle, great as a speaker system, but not good as a speakerphone system.

It seems that there are issues with the 755's phone application that creates problems.

If your 755 is cradled in this:

    1) mp3/streaming sounds good

    2) Hotsync works

    3) Charging works

    4) Phone works properly while in the cradle

    5) Phone does not work properly once removed from the cradle - speakerphone sometimes works, microphone sometimes works, and the "normal" headset speaker definitely doesn't work).

So far, I've only found a soft reset will restore the phone app to normal functionality. I get the sense that Palm's mucking around on each model has created this weird incompatibility with what seems to be essentially a Treo 650 with bugfixes.

Maybe Altec can be convinced to work with Palm on a fix - they still sell this for over $100, the 650 was EOL well over a year ago, and it's tiring, wasteful and expensive to throw away so many accessories every time Palm issues a hardware bugfix...
Treo 755s in good condition available on ebay for $50-$75. No need to pay for insurance or buy a Pre.
