So I finally got a phone call today,
saying they received their shipment of the 755p.

Oddly enough, it ONLY came in Burgundy,
whereas most places are getting only Blue.

Anyways, I got a phone call saying it was in,
    and they said,

'Sir, are you aware there is a price difference?'
[because i'm under my 30 days for my 700p],
    and I replied,

'Yes, it's $80 correct? The price is $279.99'
    they said,
'No actually, we have it priced at $429.99'.

    Immediately I thought to myself,
    Uhhh, what?!

    Then I said,
    'No, it's $279.99, everywhere I've read,
every store I've contacted [even though they don't have it in],
    every website, forum, etc.'

    they replied,
"Hang on sir, let me double check.'

Sure enough he came back saying it was $279.99,
    BUT,
only with a $25 Power Vision Pack.

I only have the $15 Vision Pack,
    but, I don't mind upgrading.

    My Sprint store is retarded.

I was told the same thing. You only get the lower price with the Power Vision Pack.

You don't need a Vision pack to get that price. They're just trying to meet their quotas for the month.

Can you just change it online like on Cingular?

Congratulations on finally getting it, Juicy!

When I got my 700p, they told me that I had to upgrade my Vision to the PowerVision. I upgraded because I wanted the EV-DO, which was the only difference (and the inclusion of SprintTV). But that shouldnt have to be the requisite.

i think all sprint stores are stupid, the one by me doesn't know anything, and has no clue what they are talking about. when i hopefully go to get my 755p, i will find a different store.

I was told the same thing when I got mine. He said to keep it until I received the rebate so I signed up for it figuring that there went another
$30 more I was paying for the phone. Anyway, I called customer service two nights later to find out an answer to something for my wifes phone. I then asked about the rebate and if it had anything to do with the power vision. He assured me it didn't and changed me to the $15 plan. I sure hope I get my rebate.

What exactly does the Power Vision add over the regular Vision plan?

Put retentions on the phone, doo...

All mail in rebates for Smartphones including BB's require a $25 PowerVision plan to qualify for the Rebate.

It has nothing to do with making Quota as we get next to nothing on upgrades anyway. I don't like the policy but it is clearly stated on the MIR form and probably on the website as well...

And you might take it easy on bashing the stores. We have a VERY difficult job and while there are some dimbulbs most of us are hardworking people trying to feed our families.

I know this isn't correct. The high speed is on both plans. The difference is some of the extras you get like Sprint Music and Sprint Navigation (which we can't use anyway).

Power Vision and Vision are IDENTICAL (in terms of web/internet access)

Power vision, just add more perks.

**IF** (and a big if) you can get a rep to manage to use P2k (an older system Sprint uses), you can still use the Grandfathered Vision on your account with a Power vision phone (EVDO)

EVDO is phone based, and not a network thing.

Its a matter of the codes working properly when the CSR is activating your phone.

Agreed. I've found idiots as well as saints working the stores, mostly they are trying their best. It can't be an easy job, in fact the installation of bulletproof glass at some stores tells a lot!
Treo 755s in good condition available on ebay for $50-$75. No need to pay for insurance or buy a Pre.
