I guess I'm going back to Verichat until either Mundu or Palm figure out WTF is going on.
What do you mean by "the new Treo 680 version"? Do you mean that you've applied the Treo 680 ATT ROM Update, AND the security patch? If so, remove the patch - it's already in the ROM update.

If that's not what you meant, then there's something else wrong. I'm running Mundu 4.0 with this security patch on my 680 with no problem at all.

As long as we are on the subject, what happens to those previous update files after installing the ROM update?

If I hard reset prior to installing the ROM update & restore from backup after ROM installed, will the previous updates interfere with the new ROM?

I guess I can selectively restore from backup but only the camera & security updates files are known from Palm updating instructions. I dont know which files are associated with DST update.

The answer depends on the update I suppose. In all likelihood the updates restored from your backup would just eat up RAM. I would think the odds of needing to restore a full backup from prior to a ROM update would be pretty small though. Just use a backup program that allows selective file restores.

Without getting into too many details, I will surmise the issue this way. ATT issued an "update". I applied the "update." Mundu no longer works correctly.

The "update" in question was the ATT Treo 680 ROM Update. I did not apply a security patch, since that would be redundant.

Incidentally, I have two completely similar 680s, both running the same backup, one runs the original ROM and the other runs the upgrade. The original seldom if ever crashes. The new one crashes every 10-20 minutes. There is no question in my mind that something in this update has rendered Mundu useless on my 680.

Then why did you post in this thread?

    Yes, let's discuss that.
