I believe 1 and 2 GB mini SD card are supposed to work just fine on the regular min SD format and my personal preference would be to buy Sandisk. Now, 4GB mini SD cards are not officially supported under the regular mini SD card format. Though you can still buy them on eBay under some unknown brands. So, if you are planning to get a 4GB card it is recommended to buy a mini SDHC card. The only minor thing is that you may have to buy a new card reader that supports SDHC cards.

oh I see, so with a 2Gb mini sd card it will still read in a regular sd player?

guess it's best off to just stay with a 2gb card, that's still a lot more than the 256mb card I had in my 700p lmao.

    thanks.

Yes, any SD reader will read 2GB mini SD as long as the card is not SDHC.

I read it is supposed to be more reliable when it comes to big cards like 4GB and somewhat faster than regular SD.

Well, I didn't tell you this, but staples sell them and they are good with returns as long as you bought it there have your receipt.
Went to WalMart and purchased the 12-in-1 Sandisk reader ($27.77) with the part number of 20-90-03066 and this works with the 4GB Transcend mini SDHC card. Make sure you get this part number. I saw some older ones on the shelf.

I will return my old 12-in-1.

Anyone try one of those 8GB SDHC cards? Would be sweet to buy one 8gb if it would work.

What bout my question?! 4GB transcend skips when playing music? Is that true or did someone just get bad luck with that card. It would ruin my experience if it does skip >.<

There are no 8gb mini-sdhc cards I am aware of. Remember mini-SDHC is a different form factor than just SDHC.

thats for microSD...miniSD is not very popular so we'd have to cross our fingers to get an 8GB.

BUT throw that bad boy into a miniSD adaptor!

I am using a 4GB SDHC Transcend with Pocket Tunes version 3.1.8. No issues at all.

I got a 1GB Sandisk mini at Radio Shack for $16.95. Not sure if they still have that price but they are usually convenient to get to. I got a 2GB Kingston from New Egg pretty fast- like 3 days.

Where can we get that 4GB miniSD from SanDisk? I keep seeing coming soon or just Transcend.
