Are you streaming XM from their website player?

Not exactly. There are a couple websites that are proxies for XM.com and are moble friendly: http://www.musicdock.com/mobile and http://www.xstreamxm.com/mobile. When you click on the link for the station, it launches and plays in Kinoma. Or you can get the URL for the specific stations and save them as bookmarks in Kinoma. But you need 4.0 EX for it to work, the basic version that comes with the Treo doesn't support this.

Just tried pairing my Plantronics 590 with Audio Gateway and it DOES NOT work.

They work fine if i am using the phone but when i go to connect to audio gateway the phone freezes on "get capabilities"

Anyone getting it to work with the 590's?

    I am using version 1.12.1130

I have CorePlayer, which does stream these. Two issues:

    1. You have little control over CorePlayer as it's streaming this audio, and

    b. If the screen goes off, the stream stops. In other words, no background play.

    Shame, really.

Be cool if we had a pTunes bridge for this.

Yes. It works just fine with my Motorola S9. Do you have the latest version? Also, which headphones are you using?

It is very important that SAG 1.12 and only this version is installed on the 755p. SAG 1.09 that worked so well on my 700p displays a message of not compatible with this device when trying to use on the 755p. Therefore, just trying to delete 1.09 and installing 1.12 still created many problems with screen freezing with my 755p. I created a backup with BackupMan and performed a hard reset and then restored everything except any bits of files associated with SAG. I then deleted my headset from trusted devices and repaired it. I then installed SAG 1.12 and while not perfect, screen freezing does not occur while streaming mp3's, AVRC works, and call handling works fine. And as long as the pTunes is exited and the phone screen is accessed and left there, music playback resumes after the call ends. This was just like on the 700p. BUT........issues occur when trying to stream shoutcast music. The music plays but the screen freezes most of the time. That means, no AVRC or the ability to handle incoming phone calls.

I contacted the SAG creators and they are aware of the call handling issues as well as other problems and are currently working to resolve these issues with SAG 1.13. Just a note, this is my experience with SAG 1.12, my 755p, pTunes 4.02, and a Sony Ericsson HBH-DS970 headset.

We just introduced SAG support in our latest Kinoma Player 4 EX v4.2 update.

Our engineers worked with Softick's engineers on a fix, so for best performance you'll want current versions of both Kinoma Player and SAG.

Now this might be a stupid question but how do I get the update? Is it free or something that I have to pay for?

    Thanks again

(S.A.G.) its free if you're registered user, just delete the old version, download & install the new version

(kinoma 4) once again, its free if you're registered user, but you can update right from the kinoma app, just hit the check for update tab, & follow directions...

yup kinoma player 4 ex http://kinoma.com/ is $24.99, if you buy it thru you pc's web browser, but I've read on this board if you buy it thru your treos web browser it's only 14.99... (search for more details)

S.A.G. short for Softick Audio Gateway http://www.softick.com/bluetooth-audio/ is $19.95 but you don't have to have kinoma for it to work with your treo... it will work with the free media players (ptunes, tcpmp, etc) just fine, but you have to have a pair of supportted a2dp headphones to use with it... this thread should tell you all you need to know about S.A.G. http://discussion.treocentral.com/tc...d.php?t=108321

To get your upgrade discount on Kinoma Player 4 EX, first soft reset your Treo 755p, then click the upgrade link that is displayed in the About box when Kinoma Media Embedded is first run.

This will take you to our online shopping cart, where you can purchase, download, install and activate Kinoma Player 4 EX right from your Treo.

It's quick and painless, and on the off-chance you run into any problems, our excellent Kinoma Support team is standing by to help.

My advice is to first verify that you have the latest SAG. Then, I'd try what you're doing in Kinoma Player 4 EX with and without using SAG, just to see if it's possible to narrow the scope of the problem to one or the other. It would also be very useful to know whether it's possible to reproduce the problem with another player app.

You might also try the SAG troubleshooting tips and other configuration options here to see if they make a difference:

Our support folks are glad to help with any Kinoma Player problems. It'll be very important that they're able to reproduce it so that we have a "bug in a jar" (so to speak) that we can investigate. You can reach Kinoma Support at:

I am not sure where the issue is at this point. I took your suggestion and used Kinoma without SAG and my treo froze.

It seems to have a mind of its own...sometimes it works and sometimes is doesnt.

Has anyone been able to get this to work with a Jabra 8010?
