I've had alot of problems getting onto anything that requires internet connection for the last few nights, e-mail, web, directory assistant software, etc.
I kept getting a message that said "Attaching GPRS.....please wait" & it wouldn"t let me go any further, it would just stop working, and not let me onto any web / internet connection.

Cingular said they thought the phone was messed up, and agreed to send me a new one.

1/2 hour after getting off the phone with them, it started working fine again.

Has this happened to anyone here? or has anyone ever heard of such a thing?

I've had that happen occasionally. I usually soft reset or turn the radio off and back on and try again...

There's a freeware you can download that usually fixes this problem, it's called Reset NetLib, and you can download it here:

Even an hard reset didnt fix that for me with Tmob... I set chattermail to make persistent connection attempts, to force it to keep connecting it to GPRS before i went to sleep, it the morning it was working fine. Possibly some oddity with tmob network.

I traveled from Atlanta to Kansas City and when I got off the plane and turned my Treo 680 back on, it started acting crazy. It went into a loop of crashes and resets. I finally had to do a hard reset to get it to behave but then I discovered I could not go online. I could not use any application that needed an internet connection. After a couple of hours on the phone with Tmo tier 3 customer service, they were stumped.

Tonight I went to the Tmo store and was going to try my sim card in another phone. The minute I pulled out the sim card the Tmo girl says, "I think your sim card is the problem". Turns out that it was an old Voicestream card and she set me up a new one and everything is working fine!!! Weird!
