Just wanted to post any info for people wondering about a verizon version.

I have a small business acount. (7 lines so not anything big- I probably dont get the first line sales people- LOL - my guy is nice but i dont think he has lunch with Ivan or anything....)

My 2 years was just up on our account- I wanted to upgrade (from 650) and get a couple other treos for a couple of my other employees.

I told my account rep that i didn't want to get 3 new 700p's if the 755 was coming out next week or anything. He said he hadn't heard anything but would check for me. He got back to me the next day and told me that the 755p is in Beta now and they expect it to be availible in July timeframe.

Take the source for what it's worth. Nothing official- sounded like office rumors. But at least he found someone that heard of it.

(so I got 2 700p's and will hand my 650 down. THen whenever the 755 comes along I can get myslef that and pass down the 700 if it's worth it...)

Cool. I still have a Treo 650 on VZW and am about to be up for contract renewal and NE2. I wanted to wait because what I really want is an iPhone, but I have my doubts about Cingular's service in NYC, about the software capabilities of the iPhone, and will need real-world reports of basic hardware issues like battery life and reception. I'll have to wait and see what happens, but I'm glad to know that there will be a Treo worth purchasing if I decide the iPhone isn't ready for me yet.

July sound s abit early - i'm suprised Sprint did not sign an exclusive.

Can someone jog my memory -was there an exclusive deal for the 650 ?? or did that appear on both Verizon and Sprint at the same time? I think there was an exclusive for 700P? am i wrong .....

There was an exclusive for the 700w. Verizon had it for 6 months. But then when Sprint got it, it was available for as the 700wx, with more memory and all that. Who knows what those two will do to one up each other with the 755p.

Also with the p designation, does anyone expect to see a 755w anytime soon?

    Hey BMIC50

Last time I posted this much insertion was under 1000 posts, and you could still pump your post count in the "Other topics" forum.. I'm normally a lurker, but I've been patiently waiting for this new phone ... and I'm disappointed. My posts are my theraphy. I think my love affair w/ the Treo is coming to an end, and it's very emotional

    ......

anyway ... back to the thread .... my buddy has been waiting for this realse as well, but he is on Verizon, thus my interest

I am surprised that there was not a same-time launch on Verizon as the 700p.

I hope it's sooner than we think -- the more I read about this phone the more I realize what I've been missing with the 650. Of course I could get 90% of the upgrades with the 700 right now, but I might as well wait since my contract isn't up until late June.

guaranteed you won't see the 755p to late fall.
Verizon has commercials up the wazoo for the 700p, and the xv 6800 was due by now and is pushed back to october from what I hear.
How many will grab the 755? The antenna stub doesn't bother me on my 650 (actually helps with grabing the phone, but if the fix coming out on the 28th fixes the 700p problems, I may grab one at a deep discount.
