If are running an old version of the Palm Desktop, then you would update it just as you would any desktop application: just run the installer for the new version; it's probably a good idea to copy your Palm user directory to another location for safe-keeping, just in case.

Hooter, you have a 680 and a 750. Didn't you install the CDs with the Palm Desktop that came with your devices? Those are the latest two devices to be released, so why do you think you don't have the latest desktop versions???

Yes, but it would be nice if there was an update option in the software.

I guess 4.2 is the latest?

You can, if you want, regulary check the Palm Desktop Software page. Currently, the latest version there is 4.14E...so, yeah, you've got the latest.

...and with each incarnation of Palm Desktop, they seem to remove more conduits - Notes, Expense....

So do really want an 'improved' Desktop? Just be thankful you're not running the MacOS version - which truly sucks.
