I recd the e-mail also but the minimum requirements are so significant I'm not sure if I can run it on my 650. Hopefully it can run from the card.

"3MB of storage memory (RAM) to install Saguaro system executable (PRC file), 4MB of free storage memory to operate Saguaro, and at least 2MB of dynamic heap memory"

I've downloaded it and will be trying it shortly (right after I synch my 650).

Your not missing much (unless I am totally missing some of the functionality). Don't get me wrong it's cool, just limited right now

Looks pretty, but as stated before, VERY limited functionality in this "sneak peek". So far the only things you can do are view two different widgets:

A CNN RSS headline feed from which you can choose from these topics: Top Stories, World, U.S., Politics, Law, Technology, Science & Space, Health, Entertainment, and Travel. It is a one-line feed that side-scrolls to view the headline. No full articles at this time I guess.

The second is a weather widget which workd pretty well! It shows current conditions and a 5 day forcast with pretty icons. You can choose a city by name or zipcode.

Both widgets can be moved around the desktop to whatever position you would like them.

5-way is disabled, so one handed operation at this point is not possible.

The top bar can be hidden by pressing the menu button.

Each widget can be hidden by tapping the respective bar on the bottom.

The bottom "taskbar" looks like a linux or Windows equivilant with a saguaro icon in place of "Start" this looks like it could have functionality in the final version. The top bar is like the Mac operating system in that whenever you tap a widget, the options on the top bar change to match the widget.

Very pretty, and I can foresee the finished app doing some neat things. This is going to stir up some very good buzz for Saguaro.

I got it up on my Treo 680, but this beta is almost useless. Any public beta should have more functionality, if they hope to get any positive feedback at all.
Otherwise, they're just showing off a couple of widgets.

pretty yes, functional/usefull no, there is not enough room on the screen for readable gadgets and apps. This app is not for me!

Well, if you take the term Sneak Peek as the movie studios use it, then this could be only a 30 second commercial for a 2 hour feature. They have a lot of non-functional items in the Sneak Peek, but I can easily see these operating in the fashion of WM. The Start menu, configurable widgets, multi-tasking. I think Saguaro will end up being much more than we are seeing here.
