I just loaded the new version of directory assistant and seem to be having a issue, whenever I try to map an address, google maps opens and says the address can not be found. I get a group of garbled symbols that seems to be attached to my search address, therefor google maps says it can not be found. I did not have the issue with the previous version that made you choose if you wanted to use mapquest or google maps. Google maps worked fine in this version. I'm running this app on the 680. I'm curious if anyone else is having this issue.

    Thanks

I assume we're talking about v3.29...No problem here; I don't see anything like that. Give me a specific example to test.

Works fine on a 650. The only problem I have is making out the street names. Can anyone actually make them out? I tried a magnifying glass and still have trouble. I wish there is a multi-zoom in function. Rick, is that possible?

    3825 S Steele St

Yes I do. It seems to be passing some sort of garbled symbols to the google app. I have tried uninstalling both apps and reinstalling as well as a soft reset.

OK, you're right. I've never used the Map Query section before, I've always just tapped Map after I've found an address in the Residential or Business sections. It looks like DA's having a problem translating to Google's required input format.

At this point, it makes more sense to map directly from within Google Maps.

So you are having the same issue as well? Hmmm, I've been in contact with Rick and we wanted to see if anyone else was experiencing this problem.

I got it to happen (the garbled symbols) and also cases where it found 3 different locations and I have to select one, but none were correct. I say 80% of the time it got the right map, which is unacceptable.

I do not have Google maps installed. Does not seem to be needed? DA just launch Blazer and connects to Google maps.

I found that if I choose wide mode, the street names are in a bigger font and now legible.
