    1. 2day - In constant use, day-in and day-out.
    2. ZLauncher - Simply the best there is. Sure, not that intuitive to start up with, but definitely worth the investment.
    3. Bonsai - Forget the on-board todo app. Easily manage your tasks on your Palm or on your Desktop.
    4. SplashID - I wouldn't be able to log in to just about anything without this app. Also keeps all of my (many) Palm app registration codes, etc., etc., etc... A gem.
    5. Accessorizer - Pop-up just about any app over the current app, then return to it just the way you were.
    6. TrafficStat - Unless you have an unlimited data plan, you need this to make sure you don't suffer those outrageous data overage charges. Just don't turn on the auto-on after reset option on the 680 -- that'll set you into a reset loop.

    0) Uninstall Manager
    1) DateBk6
    2) DataShield
    3) ZLauncher
    4) Bonsai
    5) Card Export (or Card Reader)

    NotePad (ditto)
    Expense (as above)

    and then, less so -

    AvantGo

    - all of which are freeware and/or came with an earlier Palm I have owned.

How do you like that DialByPhoto?

Is this something you can turn on & off?

Pareto Pal. It's not really software, but something posted by a Palm designer here, that makes everything work perfectly. Basically, if the sht hits the fan only one out of five times, that's not bad.

No, not any more. I just figure when something comes flying my way, that's the 20%, and I know we can't ever expect more than that. Not with anything Palm related, at least. Now, if I knew an employee held such an attitude, he/she wouldn't be one any more. And if a client ever suspected I had such low expectations of myself or anyone else, he'd probably have grounds for justifiable homicide. And of course I'd never get hired with that kind of philosophy.

You're right. This was just an experiment as I said for the weekend. I tried my best but I felt dirty when I awoke each morning. Even my wife noticed, asking "Why are you so happy?" When I explained that from now on we would be satisfied with 20% less, she stomped out of the room, saying "So size doesn't matter, does it?" with what I can only call a harumph, the first one I've ever heard from her. "Only suckers believe that," she shouted. "But honey," I pleaded, "What matters is what you do with it!..." "Have fun with your Palm!" she answered.

    LOL...

Okay, okay...I give up! Go back to being unhappy, you were much easier to deal with when you were. We thought we'd try to convert you, but that just led us to the "Be careful what you wish for..." or "Grass is always greener..." principles.

BTW...I agree with your wife. Only suckers believe size doesn't matter

These threads are great. I invariably compare the posted lists to my installed apps and I see where I stand in the userbase.... Interesting.
