In addition to those already mentioned:

    batterygraph
    battery.prc
I use these quite often to monitor how my 680 is performing. I've learnt alot about how to run it optimally using these programs. Be careful with battery.prc however, if you have check the box to poll battery levels every second while switched off, it increases the battery drain. On the positive side, you can instantly see if your 680 is drawing more power than it should be in standby mode, and this program also adds some functionality to the LED - which lights up (green) whenever the 680 is active in 'sleep' mode, so you can tell if it is suffering from insomnia.

    soundoff
because I always forget after I turn sound off to turn it back on, and consequently miss calls etc.

    Metro
    great if you travel alot.

It appears that Cyclone doesn't technically exist any more (the domain doesn't belong to the same guy). It was a hurricane tracking app.

Well, here are my "must haves" on any phone, but not all have been practical for me before I got my 680 due to space limitations. Now I can. Even though the last one on my list has only been on my phone a day, already I can say that all of these programs are/will be used almost daily.

Email - I use Intellisync Syncmail for corporate synching with GroupWise
Agendus Pro (can't live with the standard calendar any longer)
    ssh
    telnet
    PalmVNC
    predictive text (Textras for me)
    Keycaps600
    Sudoku
    netClock
    FileZ
    LauncherX
    PocketTunes
    Verichat
Yanoff (which I couldn't have used at all without more memory)

I really don't mean to be ugly about this, but if you are looking for a weather program for your windows based treo, looking in the 680 forums is probably not the best start.

I guess that shows that you can't judge a book by its cover, or even the ugly can be wrong...but what is ugly, really?

The question posed was really "What are the "Must Have" applications you have on your 680?" and I think his answer was rather clever, but I'm not sure I'd really want a different OS. Just a bigger battery, please, in the same case.

Does anyone know if there's been any headway on a ROM? Is it the bootloader that they're having problems with?

    THE Question:

What are the "Must Have" applications you have on your 680?
