I did the famous buzz fix well over a year ago. It's baaaack. I used aluminium tape, rather than foil, so I know nothing slipped. Before I open the case again, has anyone out there done the fix more than once? Is there something different to look out for on the second attempt?

    Thanks in advance.

Make sure, if you have the double ended connector between the battery and the motherboard, that it is seated properly at both ends.

I did this follow-up repair often when the buzz would re-appear and it would alleviate it.

I wondered each time I reopened the 600 if the original "tin foil solution" worked not because of the tin foil, but because you ended up reseating the connector?

Later 600 versions had soldered connections instead of the connector...

Battery may be going dead, Even though it is still charging I had to try 2 different batteries.

That is good advice as I had the same problem. Check the battery as it may be going dead.
