    I think we can now safely ignore this, considering Palm's Linux announcement today. For older devices, this could still be useful.

    Think of this as Windows 3.1 - It can run its own software with multitasking on top of a non-multitasking operating system (DOS in win3.1's case, Garnet in this case) but doesn't actually support the applications from the operating system it rides on. DOS programs weren't supported in Win3.1, and "legacy" PalmOS programs won't be supported here.

    The only way that this would ever work well is if there is a huge library of good software that was developed for the Saguaro OS, which isn't at all likely to happen (especially with linux on the horizon).
