    Hi folks,

Wrote recently about my hotsync endless loop. Somehow fixed that with attempts at a zero-out reset, which didn't work but did eventually stop the hotsync looping. New problem.

When I hotsync'ed with my Apple iBook g4 OS 10.3.9 and Treo 650, the sync operation kept crashing. The Treo would do a soft reset on its own during the sync'ing of the contacts, memos, calendar, and tasks section of the sync progress. Besides all the software that I had to reinstall, I had a lot of key data located in Tasks, Calendar, Memos, and of course, Contacts such as passwords to my local hospital computer systems, instructions for various work functions, even a locker combination at work. I have to get this info back if it is recoverable.

In order to make any sync'ing of my Treo work, I had to deactivate iSync conduit altogether. That allowed all of the other software sync'ing to take place. However, I have lost some contacts and all of my calendar, tasks, and memos. Two questions arise:

    1. Where could I find the data saved on my Apple iBook? (I know, contacts are in address book, calendar in iCal, but what about Memos and Tasks?!?)
    2. Could I/Should I get Missing Sync to help retrieve the data somehow?

    Thanks, folks.

Thanks. I've been there and searched extensively. But I can't find any folder or file name that seems like it would contain my Memos and Tasks.

If you are using the iSync conduit, I'm pretty sure that:
    * Memos are not synced at all
    * Tasks and calendar data are synced with iCal, which would be stored in ~/Library/Application Support/iCal/Sources/xxxx where xxxx is the identifier for each calendar you have. You should be able to find fresh copies of this stuff in your Mac's backup. If you aren't making backups of your Mac, you should start!

Thanks, you were right. iCal had both the Tasks/To-Do list and the calendar items. Can't get 'em to sync back onto my Treo, but at least the items are not gone for good.
