This program worked great for me until I installed Sling Media Player. Now even after deleting and re-installing LED Off it does not work for me any more.

It says on their site it has only been tested with the 600 and 650 but it was working fine for the 700P.

Now with the Sling Player it's tough to concentrate on the TV screen if this bright orange search light keeps scanning your face.

I also use Tomtom and while driving at night those annoying LED's are going to drive me bats.

So anyone know of another LED off program, free would be a plus too.

    Thx

    keyshades 1.3b1 BETA*: 19-feb-2006
This application controls the keyboard lighting.
This application has no launcher icon, but can be uninstalled by
deleting it from the launcher's Delete screen as usual. No hack manager
    is required.

A reset is required after installation. Normally this will be
automatically triggered by Hotsync. However, if you install using an
alternative method, you may need to perform a reset manually.

After a reset, the keyboard backlight will be off. It can be toggled
by holding the side button down for about half a second.

The new of the side button behavior does not interfere with the use of
the side button as a launch key. The side button can be released once
the keyboard light toggles and the application will not be launched.
If the button is held down for one second, the lights will be returned
to their original state before the application mapped to the side button
    is launched.

    19 feb 2006 - v1.3b1
    Release notes:

This version tries to restore the keyboard lights to their proper state
whenever the screen brightness is changed using Opt-P, working around
a bug in the Treo 650 firmware that turns the lights on when they
    should be off.

Keyshades must be deleted from the launcher screen before any upgrades
    are installed.

Thx Dan, but I'm still looking for a program that kills the LED's too and it's certified for the 700p so that I don't have any third party aps tripping me up!
