Suncompass is the closest I know of to achieving this. I guess a GPS device added to your Treo would work too, but thats one expensive compass!

I am not understanding this Sun Compass.
I installed it and entered in the nearest major town, along with the local time.
When I rotate the TREO the compass needle dial does not change direction.
    Shouldn't it?
One reason I wanted this is to see if I can mount a DirecTv dish.
It has to be SE and I live in a townhouse so my options are VERY limited...
I have a small opening in one area of my building so I needed a compass to see the actual direction.

This Sun Compass will do that ?
    Thanks

You need to rotate the Treo until the line from the centre of the compass rose to the sun symbol is aligned with the direction of the sun in the sky from your position. At that point the fixed compass rose on the screen should be correctly aligned for your location.
