Puerile perhaps, but as you can see from the first post, this is a serious concern. In this country other "guys" can be offended by the color of your phone, or, I assume, by any number of personal behaviors. Quotation marks used advisedly.

Colors aren't just for girls..., they're for feminine men too.

If you're looking for a manly, hairy chest, woman loving phone I'd opt for the 750. Nothing like a nice navy to make you say "grrrr."

I really don't think so. As long as there are Betties there will be Neanderthals.

It's the "woman loving" comment that's getting you, isn't it? Would it be better if I said I enjoyed sitting on the ol' bologna pony with my pink treo in hand?

    I'm KIDDING HERE!

Funny how threads like this suddenly cause men to get all defensive about their masculinity...then again, it causes some to reveal things that might have remained a secret to everyone but themselves...

speaking of Women, One interest note from Palm's Q3 confernce call is that more women are buying treos ( 680). According to Ed, "Early Treo 680s sales show a "pretty significant shift" to women buyers".

I think it would have been more than "pretty significant" if they had included pink in their color options. Pink is huge for phones right now...I think they were crazy for excluding it.

I was at the launching of the Treo 680 and actually asked one of Palm's executives about Pink. He seemed to imply a big fat No to that idea. Who knows, maybe they are reconsidering now

I agree, I know plenty of chicks who got the razor only because it was pink. Those girls would gladly get a Treo if it pink too. I had Colorware paint the back and click wheel my iPod nano just so I could have it in cotton candy pink.

Really?? I can't imagine why they wouldn't want to attack the female market by offering one of the most popular colors out there...

It's simple, tech is a man's world. Dumb phone makers know women use cell phones too. It's sad really especially when you know that Jeff Hawkins and Donna Dubinsky founded Handspring. Handspring was known for releasing multiple colors and doing serious innovating. Look at the Visor Edge. It looks like a work of art especially the cradle and stylus. Sure it came out to late and thus didn't sell well because it was it had a Mono screen instead of color but I have yet to see a better looking device. The Edge came in three colors. You'd think those two would see the value in having there device made in a very popular color. We have Treos because of Handspring. The 680 is only my second Palm device. I miss Handspring. I hope we get something Handspring like when the "Hawk" comes out.

I just found Colorware when I googled pink laptop bags! I was considering using them to color my laptop. How long did it take to get your iPod done? Couldn't you have just gotten the pink Nano?
