Go into the built in launcher on your 700p.
Hit the menu key, then tap on 'about applications' while holding down.

Can you guys post what it says there? Thanks.

He meant while holding down the "Down Button" on the 5 way nav.

Holding down the "Up Button" also reveals hidden info.

This appears to work on the 680 as well.

    Please do me a favor.
Tell me what this information can do for me?
On a related topic, I looked at the numbers on the side of my car tires, but it doesn't help me get better mileage.
Similarly I looked at the number on the back of my refrigerator but the food doesn't taste any better.
    Am I doing something wrong?

Welllll, actually... the numbers on the side of your tires will help you get better mileage. Correct tire inflation is important and does impact gas mileage. That's on the side of the tire. Tire size also impacts mileage so the correct "Pxxx/Rxx" number for your car is important too.

Ouch, you got me! I originally had battery there, but changed it to tires. I should have left it!

Wait, he may have gotten you, but maybe not.

Use the decal in one of your door jambs or owner's manual for proper tire inflation pressure. What you see on the sidewall of a tire is the maximum pressure allowed (when cold). What you see on the decal should be at or below what you see on the tire.

If you adjust pressure to max, without regard to what the decal states, you will get better gas mileage, but at the expense of other things (irreversble bad wear on the tire & premature wearout for one).

Sorry to be so OT. Now back to your thread . . .

OK... does anyone know what this info helps you know???
  15. #15
yeah, the fact that you are still on the original firmware and make you more pissed off that the update is still not available.
