Everytime I Hotsync, I have to End Task hotsync.exe and soft reset my 700p. It keeps hanging on the Contacts sync. I did a hard reset recently and I restored my Contacts DB files from my BackupMan backup set. Palm Desktop is also a clean install so there are no Contacts on my computer.

So, I'm assuming the ContactsDB files I've restored from backupman are the issue. But they work fine in the treo.

Does anyone have an idea how I can somehow get my contacts backed up through hotsync? I can't reenter them all, there's quite a few. Thanks.

You probably have a corrupt Contacts list, usually caused by using a third-party datebook, like Agendus or DateBk.
Download the free program dbscan (http://www.pimlicosoftware.com/dbscan.prc)
When it asks which Database do you want to scan, select 'Neither'.
Go to Menu/Options/Remove all deleted records
Select 'PalmOne' and select 'ok' as it runs through each database
Then go again to Menu/Options/Remove all deleted records
Select 'PalmSource' and select 'ok' as it runs through each database
    That should do it...

This worked for me after contacts database was causing crashes during hotsync and somehow cleaned out my Outlook 2007 address book. Thanks for the tip!
