The new V2.02 is crashing my Sprint 700P as well. It connects and then crashes.

Maybe it somehow got corrupt. Try uninstalling & reinstalling. FWIW, I keep FS on the SD card. Never had an issue.

I just started getting this problem on my T650 (Cingular), after using FlightStatus successfully for a while. I've tried uninstalling & deleting the prefs, but to no avail. The System Error Log (#*377 dial for a GSM phone) contains this info:

A reset was caused on 6/7/07 at 6:58 am while running "FlightStatus":

    ABORT MESSAGE=Found
    illegal subscript = 0

Starting crashing my 650 GSM today. I have deleted it and started using travel websites again. Shame! It was a helpful little program.

It still runs just fine on my 680; it's one of my favorite apps.

I can no longer use Flight Status after having used it on my 650 and then 680. It ran on the 680 for several months, but now causes a reboot when ever it is started. The system error log reports, "A reset was caused on 8/1/07 at 2:36 PM "Flight Status": StringMgr.c,Line:68,NULL string passed. I have posted to the author two weeks ago, but no response. Anybody have any ideas?
    TIA

You might not think it's worth the effort, but since it works for others, you should hard reset your 680, rename the backup directory, hotsync and then reinstall Flight Status. If it works then, you'll know that the problem is a conflict with one or more of your other apps.

Also try deleting the app, make sure both the .prc and FltDefs-AjF1 data file are gone, do a soft reset, and then reinstall. FWIW, the latest version is 2.02.

I am now off the flight status bandwagon. It does Not update flight times in a timely manner. For example, it didn't update the delayed scheduled times for a flight until after it landed... kinda pointless to know after the fact.

Whats the point of a program that makes you look online to find the flight times when a flight is delayed?!?!?

Edit: Eh.. even with its flaws I couldn't find a better alternative. At least I can always look at the map to see where the plane is.

I believe FlightStatus gets it's data from the same server that everyone else does, so it's mostly the lag in getting the server updated - outside the control or the app itself or the developer that wrote it. I've seen the same thing with other airlines and their web sites or sms alerts.
