I'm using Linkstart Pro, which does not. The developer claims that it is not possible to swap files back to RAM during Hotsync. That would be great, because one could then update programs like Avantgo via Hotsync and still keep them on the card. Installing updates to apps on card is also a pain now (I swap them back to Ram, install the new version, and then move them back to card).

Do any of the other popular "store applications on card" launchers allow this sort of thing?

I thought Zlauncher did .. but I'm not sure.

As far as updating apps goes:

I use the free version of LinkStart and have noticed that after launching a LinkStart app, if I then switch to any other app besides my app launcher (LauncherX), the app stays in RAM; not until I switch to the app launcher does LinkStart gather all the bits together and load the changed ones back to the card.

That being the case, if I launch an app via LinkStart, then switch to Blazer and download the new version of that app to RAM, when I then switch to the app launcher, LinkStart copies the new version back to the card.

Yeah. That's how OTA updates for Avantgo or Merck Medicus etc work because they switch between the application and the OTA updater.

How do you install non-OTA updates requiring Hotsync?

I hope someone using ZLauncher chimes in. I know that Powerrun behaves the same as Linkstart.
