What are you opening it with? It plays perfectly on my 680, using the Voice Memo app (v1.4).

    Downloaded the test file . . .
    emailed to my Treo 700P . . .
when I selected it within the email . . . got the not supported wav file warning. . . .
copied the file to my sd card . . .
could not open it with Kinoma4EX (not supported type)

Could play the file with CorePlayer (the for purchase version of the TCPMP freeware project)

It appears the embedded Kinoma on the 700P and the purchased 4EX do not play this type of wav file. . . . but CorePlayer does and most likely the free TCPMP program . . . .

Ok I went ahead and bought CorePlayer been wanting it anyway.

Next question: Can I download my attachment to my card with versa Mail? If so how?

VersaMail does give you the option of copying an attachment to your SD card. I don't believe you get the option to select the directory at that momment. . . . . You will then have to find it with Filez and move it to the desired directory. . . .

I assume you have Filez. . . for those readers who do not. . . .

    www.nosleep.net
    click on download
    click on Filez
A freeware File Management Utility for the PalmOS
Should be a stock program on every Treo. . . .

Darn, I deleted that email, where I had sent myself the file. . . opps, no I didn't. . .

send an email to yourself with the wav file as an attachment . . . .Open the email, once you receive it on the Treo ... see the attachment at the bottom? Take your stylus and tap the yellow icon in front of the file's name. . . . you should get a drop down menu with one of the choices being save to card. . . .

Or, if you have a card reader attached to your PC -- just save the file directly to the SD card. . . .

Neither did I, until today . . . I just kept pushing buttons and poking it until I got it to do what I wanted it to do . . . . .LOL

I have used VersaMail for 26 months -- it serves me well.

    Cheers, Perry.

No I have just found a better way that right Im about to answer my own question. (I could not have done this without Perry H though!)

In Versamail if you Take your stylus and tap the yellow icon in front of the file's name. . . . you should get a drop down menu with the choices being save to View, SELECT VIEWER, Save to Card.

If you Click Select Viewer - You can then change the view to Voice memo this will then change it so all your WAV files are opened by Voice memo.

Just in case anyone else needs this help.
