    TreoProc v1.8:

    http://www.swCP3.com/TreoProc/TreoProc_User_Manual.html

Now has the following additional (to v1.2) features:
    • Relies on Treo Phone Library to detect SIM change, hence no SIM registration is necessary.
    • Included option to confirm message send, confirm timeout and default to "Send" or "Cancel" settings.
    • Messaging to "Mobiles only" feature (as defined in Contacts).
    • Uses encryption to prevent unauthorized tampering of TreoProc settings.
    • Locks device on deletion of TreoProc or associated databases.
    • Possibility of burning a custom ROM with TreoProc for fool-proof security (but only if required).
TreoProc can be purchased right here on the TreoCentral software store.

    Hello again,
Well thought I would give your new version 1.8 a run.
I have been using 1.4.5 and it has preformed wonderfully.
Anyway I deleted 1.4.5, and installed 1.8, to find that now when I go into the Pref and tap TREOProc I get the reg page...
    I just installed it.
Anyway I deleted the 1.8 version and reinstalled the 1.4.5 version and all that happens is that when I tap on TREOProc it just blinks and remains the Pref screen.
    Anything I should know?
    Thanks
    JW

    The trial has probably expired.

Initial versions were valid till 30-Mar-2007 - oh, I was generous to give a three month trial (or 20,000 calls).

Later versions had a 30 day validity (or 5000 calls).

    Don't understand.
I have been using the version you sent me when I was testing this 2 months back.
It was working until I tried to uninstall, the older version and install the newer one to see what it offered.
I just installed the newer one today...
It should be working for a few weeks shouldn't ti.
And the older version wasn't a trial version I thought.

In all fairness, the trial period cannot be reset to start again on installation of a new version. Yesterday was 30-Mar-2007...

All public releases of TreoProc were trials, with expiry dates in earlier releases and time time-limited in later releases... Some website labled it as freeware, and users assumed it was freeware. I did mention this in the user manual.
