    Finally!!!
  4. #4
    Nice, anyone try it yet?
  5. #5
Yes, just downloaded and installed. Note that the readme says to copy it to the card and then copy from card to RAM. Seems to be fine. Looks nice. But I'll tell you, with the skin installed, it sure makes those tabs look bland. Anyone for skinning the tabs as well?

Can you uninstall this if you don't like it?
  7. #7
Yes. Just delete it from RAM (or copy it back to the card) and the next time you start the Phone app, you're back to the dull gray buttons. I used the file manager in ZLauncher but you can use FileZ just as easily. I've been back and forth a few times.

WICKED! BIG UPZ for posting this ... can't wait to try this sucka!

EDIT: After trying it, here's my opinion on it. It's a really good start. Too bad the blue is a bit too bright ... I wish they used the colour scheme's of AquaEssential's 2, tone down the brightness and fuse the blue w/ purple with smooth gradient. But, I shouldn't really complain .. at least we got something that's different now. Lots of respects to the one who created it and designed it.

In fact, I've chosen a color I like and did not copy anything existing...

It's not a very difficult work, only some bitmaps to change...

You did a great job! It looks so much better and I know tons of us have been waiting to be able to change the dialpad to anything other than the prison grey. i have a pink background, so the blue compliments it perfectly...

Now if anyone can share how to design skins for the dialpad...

You can do this with the Festus440's Palm File Compiler / Decompiler also known as PFCD or HPSkinStudio (which uses PFCD) and then change all the bitmaps you want from the PhoneDialPad-PmPd.prc file from your palm Tréo680 (or from my file to download) ! All you need is some imagination...
