First what you need to do is,
    1. Go to 2nd page of Main Menu and select ToTom Plus Services
2.go to 2nd page in Plus Services and select Download more..
3.let your Treo connect to network...
    4. Select Download Color Schemes
    5. pick a randon color you would be interested...
    6.disconnect when complete.
    7. now use a card reader and open the SD card.. and you should find a file named "schemes" ... unzip google.maps.zip and cut and paste googlemaps.clr into the schemes folder.. and thats it...
8.. now put card back into treo and start TomTom...
9.go to "preferences" under main menu
10.go to page 3 in Prefs...and select "Change Map Colors"
    11. scroll choices till you see Plug-In scheme
    12 select google maps...
13 thats it!!! exit out and enjoy!!

You can also put the SD card in a reader and create a folder on the SD card named "schemes" and put the googlemaps.clr file into the folder. Then start at number 8 in your instructions.

Anyone figure out the point of this? Just change the colors?

I wouldn't use it. Out of curiosity, I installed it and after each use of TT6 and then a manual, or scheduled reset, the saved preferences are lost. All registrations are gone. Luckily I have several backups. Once I deleted the schemes folder on the SD card, all is fine. This is the case for two Treo 650's of mine. Of course both are setup identically with the same custom ROM, so, I can't say all will have the same experience.

Thanks fridayy! The color scheme came out really nice. Two screen shots attach for those wondering how it looks.

also, anyone know of a free palm screen capture app?

    Worked. Using TomTom v6.

Good point.. it's more noticeable when using the 2D map instead of 3D.

    Thanks guy for making it..

Now all we need is to get rid of that dam
Agreement button in the start of TomTom..
Anyone know how to hack that?

Shouldn't be to hard to hack if you have Palm compiler/debugging tools

For those running TT6 on a 700w, what are your backlight and power settings? When running TT6, the backlight goes out and the Treo goes to sleep and thus, loses the bluetooth connection from the GPS unit. The only way to get back into TT is to press the send/end key, but that brings me back to the Today screen. This wasn't happening on my previous 700w (got a replacement due to a radio problem).

jephwhy - ever find a solution for this? the same thing is happening with me. However, it works with TomTom 6.010, but not with later versions. So, if you DIDN'T find a solution, see if you can get the older version. If you DID find a solution, please share.

    thanks
