I tried to beam a midi ringtone 66k in size and it doesn't appear in my midi list.
I tried it via the BT beam, and IR beam.
I get a message asking me if I want to accept the file I choose yes and it looks like it beamed over ok but when i go into the sound app and look for it its not there.
I have successfully beamed over a few midi ringtones, but this one doesn't stick
    Any suggestions?

    Thanks

    Do you have FileZ ?

Try selecting it in FileZ then hit menu and select send and see what happens. . . .

FileZ (Freeware File Management Utility for the PalmOS)
    www.nosleep.net
    click on download
    select FileZ

I tried beaming via FileProg, from my T3 to my Treo 650.
I can try Filez, but I think its just like it.

What happened during the beam process?

    1. Treo was never found.
    2. Beam process started but the Treo did not initiate the accept screen?
    3. File was sent and accepted but you cannot find it on the Treo with your sound app or FileProg?

    Does FileProg sort by date?

    It should be there then . . . . . . .

Maybe try FileZ, just in case . . .

But if and when you find it -- how then to get the sound app to find it?

    Strange.

Am I not correct in my thinking that if I beam a midi file into the internal memory of my Treo it will not appear as a individual file but will should be added into the midi file along with the rest of the midi ringtones.
I tried Filez and no matter what I try either by name date etc. its not showing up.

    Any other suggestions?
    Thanks

Good Point -- do you see any of the other files that you have beamed over with FileProg or FileZ -- or do they only show up in your midi file?

Is this one somehow a different format (not recognized by the Treo software)?

The other 2 ring tones that are midi files migrated into the midi file.
They do not appear as separate files.
Hence it either shows up via the sound app or it does not.
Just dont know why the transfer completes and it isn't there.
