    Hi!

I have a Treo 650 with an SMD component that has broken out and lost. Does anyone know a service manual or any other information source from which I can determine the type and parameters of that component?

Just in case someone can tell me: when the back cover is removed and phone is face-down, it is the absolutely bottom-rigt component. It is located between the jack socket and the screw hole.
    I also attached a picture.

    Thanks in advance!

Looks like a capacitor, but who knows what value it would be.

Have you reassembled the phone to see if anything fails?

    I'm sure you've checked http://treotricks.blogspot.com/ right?

At least they have a picture of it.

Yes, it was useless. A startup screen is displayed for several seconds, and when the Palm logo appears, it immediately restarts.
However, I abandoned attempts to fix it because the flat cable of the display was already bent at a steep angle, and despite any care, the conductors broke. I'll look for a dead one with working display, and then can fix both problems.

Got a replacement display - the question about the component is alive again!
