    i just got my new 680. does anyone know why my 680 reboots when i hotsync?

    Check hotsyncmanager- Custom, conduit for backup has to be set as 'Handheld overwrites Desktop'.

    Also, did you upgrade from a previous device ?
    If so, did you follow upgrade instructions ?

    - install PalmDesktop
    - hard reset your device (yes, this is needed)
    - under PalmDesktop folder tree, locate folder resembling hotsyncID, under that locate backup, rename to backup_old
    - sync, use previous hotsyncID, this will bring back all PIMs (Calendar, Tasks, Memos and Contacts).
    - Reinstall apps one by one AFTER making sure they are 680 compatible.

    thanks holveotn! yes, i did upgrade(downgrade) from 700p. i had to install palm desktop v4.2 inorder to work and i did a hard reset on the 680. .__.
