Hi everyone! I am a PalmOS developer and i want to invite you to take part in betatesting TreoKBD - a new software program for the smartphone.

TreoKBD lets you assign any* action to the tap-and-hold event of any button on the treo keyboard.

    you can find it here.

the Hede was tough on my Treo...
is there any way to tweak it?
also it would be great to incorporate a macro function also..

    thanks

I like the program very much.
Very simple and straightforward to program and use.
I have not had any crashes since installing the program.

    A couple of observations:

When I try to program more than 10 keys, all but 2 are erased.
Is this an intentional beta limitation?

Secondly, I find in some programs that the press and hold spills over into the program itself and performs the command that corresponds with that particular letter.

For example, with Blazer, pressing any key automatically launches the open webpage command. The only fix was to change the start up screen to "last viewed webpage" rather than bookmarks.

In Agendus, I had to use a different key to keep the beam business card command from being selected.

Minor issues and a very handy program.

    Thanks,

    Jeff

I haven't tried the beta, but from the above replies it sounds like this app has similar features (and drawbacks) as Stand Alone's TypeRight application.
