    Hi,

Anyone know of any software that can count number of out-going SMS messages?

I tried smaato but they give garbage information (even if I recalculate). I tried sms counter as well, only incoming messages are counted. Out going remain zero.

I like this due to its simplicity.

I like this due to its simplicity. Version 1.2 works for Treo 680. I have tried it & have no issues. Maybe you were using a previous version.

Total Hawk is still v1.001. SMS Counter is v1.2.

Nice and reliable apps. Keeps track of both incoming and outgoing SMS and calls.

What do you mean by "garbage information"? Been using it and its pretty accurate once you've set it up according to your subscribed plan. (Free minutes and sms, charge for those in excess, weekend rates, overseas and other network configuration)

The Total Hawk package looks very good. Now, does anyone know of software that will do the same for data? I'm not on unlimited, so I need something to help me keep track.

hi, I was having weird readings. At one point it shows correctly outgoing SMS was 80+ .. few hours later it shows 25 ..

I checked smaato website, it didn't show 680 was a supported device. may be I give it another try later.

Yes, the website is not updated, yet. We support the 680 - we had no issues during testing here. I'll ask the developers and I'll get back to you.

    Hi again,

we need more information. Can you please send a mail to our support Team using the Form on our website: http://www.smaato.com/contact.php ? Thank you!

several users of Treo 650 and 680 can't be wrong. Sms counter/Smaato Cost works perfectly with the above mentioned devices. please check with the tech support of Smaato and Wolflane soft so that they can help you diagnose what kind of problem you have. just my 2 cents worth.

Touche! I think then, I was a newly initiated member of the forum; & was nervous showing what I can contribute may have attributed to the multiple Submits.

Now more mature & experience, I rarely premature Submit anymore - more in control of my eagerness.

SMS delivery reports are dependent on your carrier, not your device... With my carrier, entering *N# before any message (the first three characters) enables delivery reports for that message.

There are other strings that may apply in your case. Just search the web. I found the one that works by trying out all the codes that I found.

A cleaner alternative, of-course, is to call you carrier.

    - mvk

PS: The codes should work with any phone.

    Game over!

I'd just like to share that Total Hawk causes your Treo 680 to lag quite a bit when sending messages. Instead of the usual 3-5 secs per message, my Treo 680 took about 30 secs. And it's just today, 8/2/10, that I discovered (after disabling other apps, deleting saved prefs, etc) that Total Hawk was the culprit.

    Egads.
