    Hey people,
Could you please list off your favorite golf games for the Palm OS? I don't want to purchase a mini-golf game, I'd rather play a real golf game if possible. I just purchased a Treo 680 and I need some new games for my baby

There is not many golf games for the Treo. There used to be an updated Tiger woods golf game by ZIO but all that did is reset the treo. The best is still the original Tiger Woods Golf game that used to be a cartridge for the Handspring Visor. I used to have that program on my Treo 600 back in the day and even though it was black and white it still was a great game. I wish there was a good golf game for the Treo also. I purchased a PSP just so I can play madden and Tiger Woods on the go.

Here is two that I tried but was not very good . http://www.palmgear.com/index.cfm?fu...1&prodID=46036

I have to agree with VaccPalm, there are not many Golf games for the Palm (Access) OS. I always thought that was weird because so many business people who are into golfing used Palm Hanhelds and now Treos. One would think that anyone who released a good golf game would have a hit.

(Both) Tiger Woods Golf games were OK and there was also Ziogolf but they were pretty lame compared to the PPC golf games.

Currently the only golf games worth taking a look at is Par 3 & Par 72 Golf by RESETgame which you can get from Palmgear......

If you own any of the GB/NES/SNES games, take a look at LJP.

I have Mario Golf, Pebble Beach, Wicked 18 and many more.

By the way, PSP is an awesome machine I use it a lot. I second par 72 for my Treo.

Mario Golf has kept me well entertained for a while now. Ignore the cutesie characters and focus on the fact that it's a damned addictive golf game!

Dont get me wrong Par 72 golf is not too bad ( I did purchase it hoping it was ok) but it isnt what I am looking for in a golf game. No Opponent is the real flaw. Like playing Madden or EA Hockey with no other team. Just is not fun when not playing a Golf game against an opponent. I feel like I am at the range . If it had an opponent mode and the putting was better. still probally the best out there other than the Original Tiger Woods ( WHich is still the best).

As checkmate says, if you can look past the cutesy characters, Mario Golf is a damn good game (the same can be said for many of the games you can play on LJP). Can you say good on these forums? Pebble Beach, Wailale, Wicked18, (sp?) and others are also good. IMO they blow away Tiger Woods, perhaps because they were originally made for gaming platforms.

I would love to see somebody release a version of Golden Tee Golf for handhelds/smartphones. I had the game on my RAZR phone so its not impossible......

So I wonder if there is a Java midlet Golf game out there, playable on the IBM Microsphere Java environment?

I, like the original poster, am in search of a great golf game. I purchased Par 72 without even a trial. I found it horrible. It was quite boring, way too simplistic, extremely redundant, and... well, you get the point. I asked (and received) a refund just 2 days later.

A previous poster mentioned Mario Golf. I did not know they made that for Palm. i will do a search and try it out.

    Thanks for the tip.

Mario Golf is for the Nintendo DS/Gameboy systemI believe. I as I said purchased Par72 golf without a trial and I asked for a refund about 2 hours later. I thought it was as the previous poster said "Boring" . I have to find the original PRC files for Tiger woods golf. EVen though that was Black and white it was fun. The only thing with that was you needed to use the stylus .

This was the Tiger Woods Game

    http://www.whitehorsegames.com/tiger.php

EA Purchased it and locked it. I purchased an old CD on EBAY a few years ago and there was no unlock code in it so I Emailed EA and they sent me the PRC files after I proved I had a copy of the game by giving them the serial number. Then they locked it and discontiued it soon after.

This is the ZIO golf game for the Palm that turned the PDA into mad resets. Mayeb it will work for you if it is still downlaodable.

And this was the Tiger Woods Golf game also by ZIO that did the same.

I purchased it and after the resets I emailed ZIO and they told me it was a known issue, I then asked for a refund and never heard from them again.

Here's a link for TW '06, sadly its only for cell phones and not for TREOS:

My guess for why nobody is developing cool games like TW, is there is simply no money to be made for ACCESS powered phones.

Luckily for me I own the original cartridge of Mario Golf for the Gameboy Colour so I had no moral issues with downloading the ROM and playing it through the LJP emulator.

PM me if you want more info.
