I am using Kinoma 4 EX and Core Player v1.0.4. What is the best format to use on the 700p? I use Ultra Video Converter to make my vids but with that am limited to AVI, MPEG1, MPEG2, WMV formats. None seem to play well on the 700p and the video and audio are always out of sync!

    Any ideas?

    Thanks.......................

I use PocketDVD 4.0 to rip DVDs to avi files and they play wonderfully on my Core Player 1.0.4

The free trial allows you to make 5 minute recordings for testing. . . .

Try Super or VEMODE. Both are free.

Super also works but that can be confusing sometimes. It is not very "windows"ish (if that makes sense) but a very good piece of software!

I use handbrake on my MacBook Pro to Rip DVDs. It formats the videos for the ipod (mp4/AAC) but works perfectly using TCPMP.

Thanks to all who replied! I forgot that I had SUPER.......
Makes great .3G2 files that are small and play back great on the 700p with no sync problems.

I use FairUse and convert to Divx or Xvid. Use the Xvid and Divx codecs from Microsoft so you can watch them using Windows Media Player. Everything is free to do this. Why pay $ ?

Use WMV 9 and choose simple profile (not main profile) at 15 fps, 320x240. Or MPEG-4 Simple Profile at 15 fps, 320x240. Keep the bit rate to 240 kbps, and it will work fine on both these players. Use any tool you want. If you choose Ultra, then choose WMV.
