Google Maps is nice, but it's not in the same category as TomTom, Mapopolis, etc..

Perhaps if Google Maps utilizes a GPS and offers routing/directions. Right now I use Google Maps mainly for sat views of areas I'm going in case I forgot to do so before I leave the house (to check the terrain, etc..)

I don't know much about Mapopolis, but I just returned tonight from a road trip in which I used the TeleNav service with my GPS device. (Cingular has a free trial for 1 month). Like it a lot. Came in real handy; easy to use.
