Wow, this is getting annoying. I'm trying to hotsync, ordinarily using Chapura, and every time, it goes some way through the calendar and then the treo resets. It must send something to the Windows hotsync manager, since it immediately stops the hotsync. Please help! I've been trying for two hours now.

Here's what I've tried so far:
Cable sync, Bluetooth Sync, Sync to Palm Desktop, Sync to Outlook with Chapura Professional, Hard Reset holding the up arrow so nothing's running, set Calendar to do nothing. Still dies.

    Here's the log:

    OK Quick Install
Outlook Calendar Backup to Palm Desktop synchronization failed

    FWIW, that's a "Warm Reset."

A "Hard Reset" would mean the device would have no installed software any more.

Search for dbScan here. Let us know if you need help in using it to remove deleted records from the Calendar

I used remove deleted records, and it grabbed around 100. I tried "Start Scan" and dbCache restarts the treo most of the way through the scan of around 6000 records. Tried hotsyncing afterwards, and the same problem persists.

    Thanks for the advice. Help!

Your file on the Treo is seriously hosed. I hope all the entries are still there on your PC Outlook.

First thing: Change the conduit setting to "Desktop overwrites Handheld" so that the corruption doesn't get transferred to Outlook.

Then delete the following from the Treo (Using FileZ or Resco Explorer):
    CalendarDB-PDat
    DatebookDB

You may want to do this after a Warm (NOT Hard) reset to make sure the files are not in use.

Sync (after verifying that the conduit setting is "Desktop overwrites Handheld) to re-load the Calendar to the Treo.

Did you select Current or Neither upon start of DbScan ?
It should be 'neither' and it makes a huge difference if you did not select that one.
