Does anyone know of any type of dictionary channel for avantgo? I often hear a word that I don't know the meaning of and I would love to be able to go into avantgo and find out on the next sync.

I really like Noah (the free dictionary for the palm), but it just takes up too much memory. Anyone flirt with any alternatives?

    Hi,
There's a Dictionary Module available. I don't own one myself

If you have a wireless modem (Minstrel) there's a great Merriam-Webster PQA available. Just enter the word and get back the definition. Instant gratification; no need to wait for a hotsync.

If you pay for Noah Pro, you supposedly get better text compression (I don't know how much better). If they could get Noah to run with the dictionary stored in MemPlug... Mmm...

Aside from the Franklin Springboard module they also sell dictionary software which they say range from 80k-100k words, and need 1.5 to 3MB of space. Those sizes both seem smaller than Noah's, although I don't have either and can't compare the quality.

You could do what I do and just have one memo where you manually enter new words and then look them up yourself later. You'd remember the words better that way.
