    Good morning!

My treo 650 finally went kaputt over the weekend. The red power button has been working intermittantly over the past few weeks, then all of a sudden, the whole keyboard went dead a few days ago. Seems to be a hardware problem.

Anyway, I am sending it off for a keyboard replacement (http://performancepda.zoovy.com/prod...0KEYBOARDREPLA) and I want to hard reset it before I sent it off.

Anyone know a way to hard reset it when the entire keyboard, including the up on the 5-way is dead?

    Followup:

It came to me all at once -- Butler SD Wipe!

Anyway, I cleared my treo and then sent it off for keyboard replacement. I sent my wipe RAM code and voila! , the phone reset, locked, and then the RAM was wiped. I had removed the sd card first, so that when my phone is returned, I can use Resco backup to bring it back.

    anyway, I love Butler

Got my treo in a few hrs ago.

    New, wonderful, springy keyboard!

First off, put the battery in and the the RAM was indeed wiped, but interestingly, a few programs including Butler were still there, I guess since it was Butler that had wiped the RAM. Anyway, no data was on the phone just as promised by Bulter!

Hard reset the phone, put in sim, put in battery, restored from Resco Backup and phone back in operation good as new.

Kudos to PerformancePDA. 7 days (Friday to Friday) from when I sent the phone to them by priority mail usps to the day I got it back. Price $70.00, for new keyboard and install is kinda steep, but with an unlocked gsm, no insurance, and out of warranty, it was cheaper than getting a new one.
