I noticed on the website that it refers to this battery being for a Treo 700.

I just got the Treo 680 in Australia...are the models the same?

The batteries for the 700 and the 680 are not compatible. Here is the link for the 680 model:

    Thanks

With Seidio's announcements not quite matching what is in stock, and with things ordered being out of stock, and with things supposedly shipped not arriving (my Seidio batteries were shipped priority a week ago with no sign of them), I don't know what I'd do to assure I got what I wanted.

I just received the Seidio High Capacity battery for the 680 (1300 mAh slim profile). It works great, but...

Anyone else notice you have to push pretty hard to get the battery into the 680? Then once it's installed, it's in SO tight that you need a small screwdriver, etc to pop it out of the Treo. (Would be a real challenge if you had to do a reset on the go.)

Maybe this is normal... and it will loosen up with time. Or maybe I have a defective one. Anyone else seeing the same issue?

Can you tell me when you ordered it and when they said they shipped it? I've been waiting TEN DAYS since they told me it was shipped PRIORITY. Thanks.

Sure... I ordered it on Tuesday, Jan 30 and received it yesterday (Friday). I had initially ordered it a week before and there was some problem with the order never getting shipped. I cancelled the order and re-ordered that Tuesday (because I wanted to add the hybrid case)... and then everything went out right away.

Still have that problem with size of the battery not seeming to fit right... if anyone else notices the same issue I'd love to know.

Hmmm. Well I ordered on January 19 and I haven't received a thing. Except for an email. Can't put that in the phone.

    Bump...

Anyone else notice you have to push pretty hard to get the battery into the 680 to insert the Seidio battery? Then once it's inserted, it's in SO tight that you need a small screwdriver, etc to pop it out of the Treo. (Would be a real challenge if you had to do a reset on the go.)

Wondering if this is normal or if I got a defective Seidio High Capacity battery for the 680 (1300 mAh - slim profile)

Yes-definitely a tight fit. I needed to do a soft reset on the fly a few days ago, and it was a good struggle! It's very hard to get at it. But why in the world Palm went with this kind of design when one has to do a soft reset is beyond me! I have a Skin case, so it's ridiculous to have to pull it off to get to the back cover to do a soft reset for a frozen screen. Very poor design, a step below the 650 which is not good either. But there I am least able to work around that with the Seido replacement door. No such option with the 680. But the 1300 battery provides just enough of a boost that it's reasonable enough for me, so I'm happy with that, but yes, it's so tight that I was at first almost afraid I'd never get it out!!
Anyone know of any program that will automatically soft reset a frozen device? (like how Crash Pro resets after a crash). We all know that the soft reset programs don't do a thing when a progam freezes.

If I ever receive my battery, I'm going to use a ribbon beneath it--if I can squeeze it in--maybe the flat frictionless dental floss would work, so that it can be more simply pulled out.
