Is there such a thing as 'Skype for the Treo 680?' In particular, I'm not interested in the 'ringback' services that still use up my voice minutes. I want real VoIP dialing that would only make use of my unlimited data plan and not use any of my minutes at all. iSkoot and such applications seem to be 'ringback' services, rather than real VoIP dialing on the Treo 680.

    Many thanks,

i tried it and the text chat went fine.

Never tried the phone calls, mostly because i need quality voice calls, and i can't see how EDGE would handle that.

The only true VOIP solutions for the Treo that I know of are:
    Articulation
    http://www.hamptonsoftware.co.uk/articulation/
    MobiVoip
    http://www.mobivoip.net

They are not Skype but run on SIP standards

The others are "ring back" variants. Even IM+ for Skype will use your SkypeOut credits to call you on your mobile if you want to make a voice call.
I personally use Minowireless which has a Java client for the Treo
