    Questions:

    1. How do I select the applications launched by the numeric keys in the 123 mode?

    2. Even though I have selected 3 columns in abc mode, the columns are spaced fully across the screen. Many of us have the backgrounds created by nachob with calendar shadow and a logo on the right side. Please provide an option of having icons displayed only on the left part of the screen (like in the 123 mode) even for the abc mode.

    3. When I set it ti 4 rows in the 123 mode, what corresponds to the 4th row? I'm assuming that the 3 rows (and 3 columns) in the 123 mode shows a grid controlled by the 1 .. 9 numeric keys.

Edit: Added this 4. Please give us an option of List view in the abc option. In the abc mode, I'd like to see as many items on the screen as possible.

    5. Please give us an option of 2 different backgrounds (or no background) in abc and 123 modes. because 123 mode uses the right half for calendar, while abc mode does not, the ideal backgrounds for these two modes would be different.

    NachoB,

As a suggestion, please lower the logos in your backgrounds so that they are as low as possible without encroaching on the bar at the bottom (where the last used icons show up). That way, the logos will be least covered-up if one chooses to display the month view of the calendar.

So, for the 3 Ohio State Univ backgrounds, the logo would be with the "O" of the logo touching the top of the icon bar.

Will you recreate those three backgrounds, please. Just post a note here and I can pull them off your blog if you wish.

    Great product, horace!!

    1. To direct launch an app, OP+ 1-9 key will do. Or, enable the "Default OP+ on in [123] mode" in Preferences to save the OP+ key.

2, 5. Most of NachoB's wallpaper works best in [123] mode. In coming version, I will add option to have a different wallpaper for each mode.

    3. the 4th row can be triggered by '*', '0' and '#'

    4. List view is already on todo list.

    Thanks

    1. I meant to ask: how do I select which applications will be assigned to be launched by 1, by 2, etc? I have many many applications. How do I pick the 9 (or 12) that gets launched by the number keys in 123 mode?

The are 9 (atmost 12) apps listed in [123] mode, on one page. Each app will map to the 1 - 9 keys, i.e. 1 is the upper left app, 5 is the middle app, 7 is the lower left app, etc.

Right. I get that. I'd like to select my 9 most favorite applications to be there, in the order I want, for getting launched this way ([123] mode). Currently, the applications are alphabetically listed, depending on the category being displayed.

Maybe this is what you mean us to do .. what I did was create a category called Numeric and put my 9 most used applications in that category. Then I show that category in the 123 mode.

    Found a bug:

I use Linkstart to move applications to the SD card, while keeping a shortcut to it in RAM. When launched, Linkstart copies the files to RAM and runs the application. When you close or switch out of the application, Linkstart copies the files back to the SD card.
    http://www.vistabug.com/linkstart/index.html

Sometimes, for large application, it takes several seconds to do this swap.

In TL, when I launch such a shortcut, the program runs fine. On quitting, after Linkstart copies the files back to RAM, and TL comes up, the icon for that shortcut is gone!! It is gone in both 123 and abc modes and from the bottom row of recently used applications.

If I switch to the standard Applications launcher and back to TL, the icon is back and everything looks normal again. My guess is that TL is looking for the application data before Linkstart is done with the switcheroo and with the refresing of the Applications data (psyslaunch, which is probably used by TL).

Thanks in advance for looking into this.

Hey Horace, feel free to place any/all the wallpapers I've created on your web site.

Also, feature request: Since I now find myself keeping my phone in Launcher instead of Phone, can ya add a Beam Business Card option shortcut? Menu+M in the default launcher. Not that I do a lot of business card beaming but would be convenient I think to not have to switch apps.
