Which emulator is more stable for the 680 ... SNES or NES?

I'd try Little John Palm (LJP) by Yoyofr.

    Google search will find it.

    There are emulators on Palm?
Hmm. Didn't think there were any.
Yoyofr sounds familiar...I think there is a PSP dev by that name. Not sure if it's the same person.

Yup it is, he was making stuff for palm way before the psp was out.

    It works REALLY well.

    Site is nothing glamorous: http://yoyofr92.free.fr/ljp/

Little John works perfectly on the 680.

Download this one, this is configured already for the treo 680

    o unrar file
o change folder name to LJP
o move LJP to your card under Programs
o copy ljp.prc file in programs/LJP/ljp.prc to the Launcher directory.
    o Launch and enjoy

I don't have my treo 680 yet but I have loved NESEM on my 650. I am hoping it will work on the 680. I think it is made by Kalemsoft.

LJP works so well it's amazing. Almost every SNES game I owned works on the 700p at full speed. So much for playing half-baked Palm games (except for games that aren't available for the classic systems, of course).

If you haven't tried it in the last few months, go back and take a look. It's no longer the same buggy beta that I tried half a year ago.

LJP Supports Atari Console, but I could never find any normal tron rom that wasnt 'mane'ified'

The hard part with PalmMame is having to convert the roms to mame version .36 . Not hard to do if you have the right tools.

If you're interested in trying again check out this thread:

Great I just got a few classic Roms (Berzerk, Crystalis and Dragon Warrior) - can't wait to try them on LJP! Those were the days....

I have been playing around with the keyboard layout, and I don't know if you have noticed, but you can map the power button (red) as a key, for a nicer layout IMO with power as B key

My dear lord .... can't belive my eyes. Yes, it's a bit sketchy, but wow. SNES on the 680.

    Hey,
Ya, you can map it, but it turns the phone off when you press it Eventually you'll be able to map the keyboard then you can just setup i/o/k/l as normal

Ya SNES is sketchy. PXA-Clocker fixes the sketchyness but is also problematic, hopefully we'll get a proper CPU booster for this phone.
