    Ok all,

I want to know what the heck is going to be in Palm OS 4.0. Is Palm going to address Multimedia this time around or are the going to let Sony with its Clie N700C take the lead?

I am getting worried that Palm won't wake up until its too late.

According to Jeff Hawkins, Handsprings version of 3.5h2 (what ships on the Prism & platinum & Edge) is Palm OS 4.0, or will be when Palm rolls the additions that handspring added to 3.5 , USB, 16-bit color, etc...
Hear him say it himself in the Visor EDGE launch webcast (I think somewhere around 7 minutes into the webast)

i read a review of OS4.0 beta and the reviewer mentioned that there was a selection in Datebook that allowed the user to switch between Sound or Vibrating alarm. although that's probably more of a hardware thing...

I find it ironic that there is a springboard to do just that for quite a while now.. I think I understand what Jeff was talking about, all of handpsrings (and 3rd party) enhancements to be rolled into OS 4.

I think Microsoft set a bad trend with the whole OS upgrades concept.. Now people have a skewed idea of the need to upgrade to the latest and greatest.
