I must say that I love Chatter Email for IMAP and Exchange email....however, I would also like to sync my Exchange Calendar. How are others doing this? Do you use Chatter for Exchange email and then Versamail for Exchange Calendar?

Will Chatter ever offer Exchange Calendar sync?

Moxsi (another developer) is working on a plugin to do this

Meanwhile, some are using Activesync (in Versamail) to get their Calendar and contacts synced with Exchange server.

Is there a way to get it to do that WITHOUT also making another copy of my email I won't be using?

One person had used filters to, say download e-mails that are less than 1 byte (I am making this up.. I don't know what filter capability is there in Versamail). Proper use of filters would prevent e-mails from getting downloaded.

It seems that the last email or so "disappears", then it gets re-downloaded as new sometime later.

Also, I have notifications off, but if it re-downloads one of these emails it buzzes the three times.

    Marc,

Seems like the developer over at Moxsi may have gone radio silent. There have been no development status updates and no responses to any of the forum posts in the last week. Do you know if this application is still under development?

I would assume it is, but I haven't spoken with Scott in a few weeks. I'll see what I can find.

Seems like Scott is away on a business trip, but he is still planing on working on this project.

    Marc,
Think you could check on this? Scott hasn't responded in a week and his site was taken over by spammers last week and nothing is stopping them. He's been promising another beta for a month and a half. Thanks Marc.
Visor Deluxe->Visor Edge (Upgraded for $100.00 just by giving them the Serial # of my Visor Deluxe plus I got to keep the Deluxe. Those were the days!)-> Palm M-505->M-515->Tungsten T->Zire 72->Treo 650->->Treo 700P->Treo 755P. Plus various replacements. 8130 Pearl....Sorry

I'm really not comfortable being in the position of "middleman" here; you'll just have to wait for him to respond.

Mark is no longer willing to work with Moxsi, looks like the project could be dead. Another one bites the dust...

Funny... i don't read Marc's comment that way at all. I think he's just letting the appropriate person own the development, and the responsibility for it. I would love to see something come from the Moxsi development... but it's not up to Marc to make them successful at it.

By the way, I advise Marc to be heavily involved in the design and QC of the application. IF it integrated with Chatter (like Exchange Plugin is currently), and proves to be buggy or unreliable, that would affect the perception about Chatter.

If Xchange-Sync is more like a standalone application, then Moxsi can stand by itself..

Edit: Oops. I didn't read http://discussion.treocentral.com/sh...36&postcount=1 Looks like this is a moot point now. Maybe Mrc is thinking of writing this himself?

With enough support, I think Scott will continue development. The beta works great if anyone is interested. http://moxsi.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=6

i'm going to continue development and release it as standalone. the feature set will change, but i think it will be acceptable. maybe sometime in the future marc and i can revisit the integration if xChangeSync proves to be robust.

    Thanks moxsi,

I'm using the Beta version and it seems to be coming along nicely. I'm looking forward to updates.

Did the build that supports the 680 come about? I checked back there a few times through the holidays but didn't see it. It wouldn't surprise me to think that Scott got busy during that time... I know everyone else did.

With xChangeSync now becoming a standalone app, I hope Scott will reconsider a background push/triggered sync mechanism, so that scheduled syncs are not necessary.
