How does Tom Tom Navigator, work on the Palm OS? Does the app itself use DATA or something else?

    Thanks

The app uses data stored on your Treo and communicates location via your GPS device connected by Bluetooth.

I might be worng here, but I swear I saw TomTom running without a GPS device. Could that be possible?

    Not possible.

There is actually an "Advanced Planning" option which can be used to plot a route between 2 locations without having a GPS. It's similar to other route planning done by Mapquest, Yahoo, and Google. You can view the route returned and actually do a "demo" of the trip which makes it look like you are actually driving along the route.
