Isn't the 750 a Windows Mobile 5 device? That means, on the up side it has PUSH email when used with Exchange Server. On the down side, how can one bear a screen with 240 X 240 - especially for a device that costs so much?

    Yes

It's not that big of a deal, there's very few occasions when I've really noticed the lower res screen on the 750v.

Oh and the 680 is smaller than the 750v, albeit marginally

No, I have the 680 and the 750v and the 750v is smaller and lighter by a small amount. Also if you look at Palm's website:

    680: 113mm x 59mm x 21mm, 157 grams
    750v: 113mm x 59mm x 21mm, 154 grams

Despite their numbers the 750v feels smaller. The top of the device is a little more square but the keyboard area feels less thick. I much prefer the feel of the 750v.

No, the 750v feels a small amount smaller and lighter than the 680. Not by much and you couldn't tell without them side by side. But the 750v shape is very slightly different than the 680, a little more angular and leaner feeling. And a tiny bit lighter.
