Is there any advantage to getting this:

over the standard 2.5mm to 3.5mm adapter?

Ok I did some searching and am not finding a comparison between the two, from the description it sounds like it's basically an option for people whose headphone jack is broken. Thanks

I've had mine just about a year now. I had previously lost two Treo's due to bad contacts with the standard audio jacks and switched to the dongle adapter. But after a year of wear, the adapter has become loose fitting thus causing sound output similar to the crackle of an old A.M. transister radio. Best to keep the Treo stationary or wrap the cord a few loops around the phone's body to prevent pull on the adapter's plug-in.

    NeoTreo,

Thanks, this is only going to be used in a stationary fashion anyway, so that may do the job.

    Thanks!
