I've read many a review of the 680 and it looks to me to be the exact same thing as the 700p that I bought a few months ago but with no need for an antenna and a much lower price tag.

Please give me some reason to love my 700p over a shiny new 680.

How about the fact that the 700p is a CDMA phone, and the 680 is GSM? Thus, you can't use a 680 on Sprint or Verizon.

    680's have standard-speed internet.... 700P's have hi-speed internet.
Just one reason why 680's are not upgrades to 700P's.
680's MAY be considered slight upgrades to 650's, though (more Memory).

Better camera on the 700p and faster surf'n on the 700p
Plus it's got a higher model number so it must be better LOL

It's more like a lesser model than anything else, unless you're one of those folks who just HATE antennas, then it might be an upgrade. It's exactly the same as the 700p except that it has a VGA camera & slower internet.

If you want the look of a 680 on your 700p, get an antenna replacement at treoantenna.com or http://treo.discuss.treocentral.com/...d.php?t=117934

You seem to have to have it a bit backwards.
The 680 is an upgraded 650, at best.

How about the fact that your 700p is a 3G (EV-Do) phone and the 680 is 2.5G (EDGE) phone.

At best. A real upgrade includes a faster radio.
