Is the Treo 600 car charger compatible with the 680?

99.99% chance NOT compatible, as the connections changed from the 600 to the 650.

650 gear works for the 700P.

    I'm thinking that the 680 can/should still use 650 and 700P accessories.

    EDIT:

Let's pick nits... Will a (Belkin) car charger w/a usb connection (currently with an incompatible, but removable 600 cable and connector) work with a new usb 650/680 sync/charge cable? I assume that as long as the voltage is in the right range I won't end up with a new, $399, unlocked paperweight, smelling slightly of burnt electronics (in Arctic). Or should I just shut up and pony up a whole $15 for a branded 650/680 car adaptor? Your (gentle) advice is appreciated in advance!

I think the answer is here -- is there a 650/700/680 cable connector to put in it's place? My guess is that the voltage being delivered by a 600 car charger and a 650/700/680 compatible charger is the same -- but that is going to require confirmation.

This is not a technical confirmation -- but the following product leads me to believe that the voltage input charging requirement is the same between the 600 and above Treos -- unless their S&C cables make an adjustment to the car chargers output on the way to the connected device:

Mahalo Perry! It's a Belkin labled adaptor with no serial numbers or specs that I can find on the web. To be on the safe side (and given my luck), I think I'm gonna shut up and pony up my $15. I'll keep the 600 w/adaptor in the trunk with the winter/emergency kit.
